The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is the largest biker Rally in the world, with 500,000+ bikes attending. It takes place annually around the first week of August, lasting 10 days (officially). The town of Sturgis is just over an hour north of White Tail Ridge and is the hot-spot for the Rally events. Many folks look forward to the "hog-wild" concerts, events, and, well, a few behaviors we’ll leave to your imagination. For those of you, however - bikers like us- a day in Sturgis is a blast, but a quiet evening enjoying the nature and beauty of the Black Hills is more your style. Bikers choose to stay with us for not only our 5-star hospitality, but for the respite from the roar of engines. Our biker guests kick up their boots and enjoy their own libations on our porch, enjoying the twinkling stars and the songs of the coyotes. Our morning breakfast is fit for any biker prepping for our world-renowned rides through the Black Hills and Badlands. Oh, and you will be pleasantly surprised when you see how reasonable our Rally room rates are.
As fun as the Rally is, motorcycle rides go well beyond that 10-day event. Riding the Hills is a one-of-a-kind experience enjoyed Spring, Summer, and Fall. We love to host our biker guests anytime. We (John & Darcy) are avid bikers ourselves. We know what qualifies a good ride from a not-so-good one, and we can relate to those bikers who understand that four wheels move the body, and two wheels move the soul. We hands-down do our best to accommodate your unique needs, such as providing garage space for your bikes along with a washing area. Best of all...we will ensure you ride the very best motorcycle rides the area has to offer. And, if you’d like, one or both of us can even lead you on a tour.
A final note. Darcy’s grandfather rode his Indian at the very first Rally (before it became an AMA sanctioned event). Stay with us and hear the story of Darcy’s grandfather, Levi’s objection to the year 1938 being considered the first year of the Rally...
