For short breaks or for those not wanting a self catering gite holiday, we let out our gite bedrooms on a bed and breakfast basis. For our bed and breakfast guests we serve a gourmet continental breakfast in the main farmhouse of homemade bread and jams, pastries, cereals, seasonal fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea or coffee. Gite Honeysuckle: Our 2 - 6 person Gite forms an “L” with the main farmhouse overlooking the courtyard on one side and the garden on the other with views over open countryside. The Gite consists of two bright southwest facing bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms and a large open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. Gite Figuier: Our 2-3 person gite is a completely independant luxury converted barn, accessed directly from the garden. This gite consists of a large double height bedroom with luxury ensuite shower room on the first floor and a large open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area on the ground floor with views over the garden.
All our bedrooms have a TV with local French channels and a DVD player in case your French is a bit like ours! - we also have a large selection of DVD’s and books to keep you entertained during the evenings.. Both Gites have fully equipped kitchens and we have a large laundry room with drying area. We have a large covered barn that you are welcome to use together with a separate workshop housing equipped with some basic tools. (Socket sets, Spanners, Gasless Mig-welder to name but a few). The local town benefits from 2 DIY type stores that also have a good range of tools if needed. We have 2 acres of `undulating’ garden for you to enjoy - together with various Bar-B-Q’s that you are free to use on one of the terraces. Wi-Fi in the Gites is not great but you are welcome to come and sit on the terrace outside the main house, or in the breakfast room where the reception is much better. As well as breakfast, we can also provide evening meals - 2 or 3 courses with some local wine.
The Aveyron is an undiscovered and unspoilt department in the Midi-Pyrenees region of southwest France. This magical place is perfect for a holiday any time of year with brocantes, antique markets, village fetes, night markets, Autumn festivals and Christmas markets throughout the Aveyron including our local town of Rieupeyroux. Beyond the Aveyron, our neighbouring Midi-Pyrenees departments of the Lot, Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne have many more top class attractions. To the north is the pilgrimage site of Rocamadour, one of the most visited sites in France. To the west you can sample the deep red wines of Cahors or visit the number 1 most beautiful village in France - Saint-Cirque-Lapopie. To the south is the stunning medieval walled city of Cordes-sur-Ciel and the episcopal city of Albi, recently classified as a UNESCO world heritage site, with its unique cathedral Sainte Cecile and the Berbie palace housing the Toulouse Lautrec museum. To the east are the truly breathtaking Tarn Gorges.
Our B&B rates vary from €65 to €90 per night depending on the type of room and number of occupants (excluding breakfast at €5 per person). Gite prices also vary depending on the time of year.
